The European Commission adopted on 26th July 2024, an implementing regulation on verification measures for the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport.
The regulation specifies the procedure for evaluating a ship’s monitoring plan and handling non-compliance with the monitoring plan, as well as the FuelEU report template. The act also regulates the requirements for FuelEU verifiers, requiring them to be legal entities accredited by national accreditation bodies.
