On 19.12.2023, the amendment to the Council Regulation (EU) 833/1214 entered into force, among others, on banning sale of oil tankers to Russian entities. Further the new rules require the notification by an EU located party of an EU Member State about a sale of an oil tanker to any third regardless whether Russian or not.
