The implementation of the OMNIBUS Directive (EU) into national law has changed the rules on price information and discounts, introducing, among other things, the obligation to inform about the lowest price in the 30 days before the reduction. UOKiK has published a detailed 76-page study summarising the authorities’ view of the rules on price information and discounts, detailing the different scenarios for informing about prices and promotions.
Every retailer should review whether their price information methods comply with UOKiK guidelines.
