On 24th June, 2024, a new law on whistleblower protection was enacted, holding particular significance for private entities employing 50 or more individuals. These entities are obligedto establish an internal reporting procedure.
Implementing this procedure within an organization’s structure requires several actions, including choosing a reporting method, creating a registry, consulting with trade unions or employee representatives, and preparing documentation to facilitate investigations into reported irregularities. It is crucial to ensure that the implemented measures comply with data protection regulations.
According to the latest position of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Policy, the procedure should be established by 1st January, 2025.
