In June 2022, a government draft law was published amending the Law of March 8, 2013 on Counteracting Excessive Delays in Commercial Transactions.
The draft provides for amendments to (i) statements of large-sized entrepreneurs status; (ii) the ineffectiveness of the exclusion of the right of assignment of receivables; (iii) the set-off of contractual penalties and the execution of guarantees in public procurements; (iv) annual reports of large-sized entrepreneurs status and (v) proceedings of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection on excessive delays in payments in commercial transactions.
The draft is scheduled for adoption by the Council of Ministers in the third quarter of 2022.
